If you are like me, thinking the tremendous drop shot to your opponent's backhand that you've [nearly 😄] mastered will carry you through the next evolution of our great game, you might want to think again. I love my 2020 [name redacted] paddle but I've been losing points recently to the same players I usually beat because they are suddenly rolling the ball from below the net up, over and down inside the baseline for winners. I can assure you that these guys have not gotten that much better. But their paddles have!Â
So as the saying goes, I am fighting fire with fire (almost literally) and have stepped up to a carbon-fiber paddle that can perform that same topspin magic. Look out boys! And ladies!!
